The Shanghai Educational Publishing House lastWednesday launched China's first gender textbookdesigned specifically for male students in primaryschool.

Entitled "Xiaoxiao Nanzihan" or "Little Man" inEnglish, the textbook focuses on mental healtheducation of male pupils in the fourth and fifthgrades in primary school, aiming to help themunderstand sexual physiology, sexual psychologyand enhance their fundamental ability of self-protection.
这本教材名叫《小小男子汉》，侧重于对小学四五年级男生的心理健康教育，旨在帮助他们了解性生理、性心理知识，增强他们自我保护的基本能力。
With a total of six chapters, the textbook introduces a wide range of basic knowledge includingthe topics of "What is the difference between a boy and a girl?", "Why am I a boy and not agirl?", "What does a father mean to a son?" as well as "Why do we need to have awarenessabout investment and money management?".
