At least 32 killed in Taiwan bus crash

台湾再发旅游交通事故，至少32人死亡！

At least 32 people were killed after a tour bus overturned on a highway in Taipei on Monday evening, according to local authorities.

据台湾当地媒体报道，本周一晚间一辆旅游巴士在台北一高速公路上侧翻，造成至少32人死亡。

The bus was carrying 44 people, including the driver and a tour guide. Most of the passengers were seniors, local fire department said.

车上当时载有乘客44人，包括司机和一名导游。据当地消防部门表示称，大多数乘客都是老年人。

Among the dead, 30 were killed on the spot and two others died in hospital. The other 12 people are being treated in hospital, according to the fire department.

在遇难者中，30人当场死亡，另外两人在医院不治身亡。据当地校方部门表示，车上另外12人目前正在医院接受治疗。

There were no tourists from the Chinese mainland or foreign countries on the bus, local police said.

当地警方表示称，车上没有大陆或外国游客。

While returning from a cherry blossom tour in Taichung City, the bus, suspected of speeding, crashed into the guardrail at about 9:06 p.m. and veered off the highway.

事故发生时这辆巴士正从台中的一趟樱花之旅返回，在夜间9点06分左右撞上了护栏，冲出了高速公路，车辆还涉嫌超速。

Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
