无论中级口译还是高级口译，阅读中总少不了“单词题”，即让应试者回答题目中指定单词的含义，这些单词往往比较生僻或者比较高级，往往是大部分应试者所不了解的。若应试者有足够大的词汇量便能迎刃而解，若如果不认识，只要通过上下文的推理也能把单词的意思给猜出来，因为这类文章的逻辑性很强，往往一环扣一环，以下通过一些题目来给大家分析下这类题目的解题思路。

本文是典型的词义题。MINK 对于很多同学来说都非常的陌生。解题的关键在于理解文章。首先文章提到了World Economic Forum，这个论坛一看我们就很清楚的明白不是所有人都能参加的，至少是有点头脸的人物，从文章的最后得知，参加这个论坛需要支付数千英镑的费用，可见参加的人必是有钱人。standing behind mink coals and cashmere overcoats 分析句子的时候不能放过任何一个细节，关键在“cashmere” 与 “and” ，还要注意的是I queued in the snow outside” 说明天气极其寒冷，前者就是上海话中的“开司米”是一种很好的面料，而and 是并列连词，说明前面与后面一定是类似的，且这句话运用了借代的手法，综上所述（C）是正确答案。

本题仍然是词汇题，ubiquitous 较生僻，属较高难度的词汇，但是通读第一段之后，就能马上推出其含义，解题关键在于后面的句子，从“today” 到最后，是对于前面“ubiquitous cellphone’’的说明，从96（senior high）, 58(junior high)，31(primary school) 这些数字就能很清晰的看到在日本手机相当的“普遍”，所以（C）为正确答案。

对文章的理解至关重要，这也不是一朝一夕能练成的，所以建议大家平时一定要坚持看外刊，养成每天阅读的好习惯，这样在无形之中就会提升自己的阅读速度，而且定期阅读，除了词汇量有很大的收获之外，对翻译能力的提高以及翻译的语感都会有显著的提高。一旦习惯养成之后，能力提高之后，将会使你一辈子受用。
